On Tuesday 2 October 2018, Carmel Sowden and Gina O’Reilly represented our club at Carlingford BC in the 2nd round of the CCC Pairs against Penrith City BC. It was a very hard fought game with both teams playing brilliant shots, Clovelly went ahead in the last two ends to win 18/15. Gina said “the score does reflect what a great game it was and a pleasure to meet and play against Lyn and Roberta from Penrith City.”
The 3rd round was played at Rosehill BC on Wednesday 3 October and Clovelly drew Engadine BC. The team played against Samantha and Natalie Noronha – both brilliant players . Carmel and Gina could not pull off another win even though they tried their best and went down 25/8.
The girls thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were especially happy making the 3rd round.
Note: 1st round Clovelly drew Randwick, Randwick had to forfeit due to unforeseen circumstances. Our best wishes go out to the Madgwick family.
