The sun shone but it was cold and very windy today at Clovelly as we hosted the District Shield for 2018. The green was packed full of players as we fought the elements and ourselves on a trying day of bowls. We played 15 ends and the tally was based on ends won (then other stuff that I don’t really understand.) The winner was Waverley who came first  with an excellent effort!

It was great to see all our wonderful friends from around the district at our place! Everyone had fun catching up over a lovely lunch of delicious sandwiches and carrot cake. Congratulations to all players, officials and spectators who stuck it out – and especially to Waverley for their victory!
